Above all our center will help them to develop all the necessary skills to succeed.

Tourettes Hope Center is a project with ten years in the making.

About Tourettes

People with this disorder often display repetitive facial or body movements.

Others emit uncontrolled sounds or words. Often these tics, or noises begin manifesting themselves around 5 years of age.

Apparently males have a higher incidence than females. And as they advance in age, some of the symptoms may diminish and even disappear. For most however their lives are scarred and make it very difficult to function in society.

How to know if you have Tourettes Disorder

Doctors diagnose patients with TS if they have more than one motor tic and at least one vocal tic. Usually these tics must be present at a minimum of one year.

Often health care professionals will perform drug testing prior to a diagnostic, in order to rule out any other source for the disorder.

We urge you to seek professional help in order to rule out any other reason why you may be displaying these symptoms.

Tourettes Hope Center will function as a tool to support you and provide the necessary tools to function successfully and achieve your goals.
